Join new instructor Jenny Hubbard for a class in intro to Gansey knitting! The Gansey style of knitting that originates from the coast of Britain and uses knit and purl stitches to create a bold graphic design. These designs often adorn sweaters that are knit at a dense gauge from tough wool yarn to keep fisherman and sailors warm and dry while working on the sea.
In this class you will learn about this traditional style, how to read charts and the German Twisted Cast On. This class is an all day workshop so you will have the opportunity to knit lots with the instructor and explore lots of questions.
