Entrelac knitting creates a clever, woven looking fabric. This unique technique can be used in many types of pieces and is especially stunning when combined with a variegated yarn.
In this class you will learn how to knit a rolled hem, learn the basics of entrelac and how to decrease and create shaping in entrelac.
Materials: 2 balls of Edition 3, US 5 16" circular, 2.5mm 16" circular, US 5 dpns, stitch markers, darning needle
Meetings: Saturdays February 22 and February 29 10:30am-12pm
Pre-requisite skills required: knit purl, knitting on circular needles, increases, decreases
1: Knit a swatch to check gauge and adjust body needle size to get correct gauge.
2: Determine hat size by measuring head circumference. (Shop sample is a Large)
3: Following the pattern, cast on number of stitches for your size and join in the round. Begin Part 1 Hem by knitting in the round for 12 rounds. During the first class we will complete the fold of the hem and create the rolled hem.
