Mosaic knitting, or slip stitch color work, is a clever way of creating a piece of fabric that looks like traditional stranded color work but knitting is much simpler because you only use one color at a time. Though properly placed slipped stitches, you can create all kinds of incredible patterns!
In this class we will practice this color technique on the Tincture hat by Andrea Mowry. Using two contrasting colors and a DK weight yarn, we will quickly be able to observe the color motif emerge in class!
We will discuss proper tension and how to apply this technique to other projects in the future during class.
