Begin to Crochet 103: Granny Square – October 11th, 2022

Only 2 left!

Granny squares are the classic crochet claim to fame!  They are easy, can be quite versatile, form beautiful mosaics, and are superb for using up your scrap yarn.

Join Alison Doherty for this class, which will teach you all the basics needed to make your first granny square! You will learn  how to crochet in the round to create a specific design, how to change yarn color, and the double crochet stitch.

By the end of this class, participants will be able to complete their granny square on their own if they don't finish it during class.

Prerequisites: Participants should know how to chain, slip, and single crochet stitch.  Participants can also practice the magic circle technique if desired and if they have completed this technique at least once before. These are all skills taught in our Begin to Crochet 101 and 102 classes!

Homework: If you purchase your supplies right before class, please come at least 20 minutes early if you buy a yarn needing to be wound!

Cost: $30; Class supplies are discounted 10%.

Meeting Time: Tuesday, October 11th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.

    • This class is designed for someone who crocheted at least once before and knows the chain, slip, and single crochet stitches.
    • Masks are optional during the class unless CDC guidelines change.
