Are you a beginner knitter ready to tackle double pointed needles (DPN), but aren't sure where to start? Well, we have a treat for you! Join the ever-talented Alison Doherty this December as she leads you through the basics on DPN knitting and knitting in the round. In this class, students will learn how to join in the round using double pointed needles, circular knitting using double pointed needles, and how to decrease in a pattern while making the most delightful jar cozy! This cozy is perfect for mini Mason jars, wine glasses, and beer bottles. So come on down, and learn to knit in the round with your double pointed needles, and tick a few gifts off your holiday list at the same time!
Students will need to know how to do the long-tail cast on, how to knit and purl, how to make ribbing, how to make the stockinette stitch, how to use a stitch marker – all skills covered in our Begin to Knit Class!
During this delightful Wednesday class, students will arrive with their 29 stitches cast on and get right into dividing them evenly amongst their DPNs. Students will then learn all about alternating double pointed needles to knit in the round without forming "ladders", decreasing and casting off, and leave with a finished 1/2 pint Mason jar cozy!

Materials: need? One skein (~200 yards) of Lamb’s Pride worsted-weight wool, size 8 DPNs, stitch marker, and darning needle.
