If you've been hanging around the yarn shop, you have probably heard of blocking but might be looking for a little guidance as to what it is and why we must block our finished pieces!
Blocking is the process of washing and shaping your knitted or crocheted items into your intended shape and size. This finishing process can take your completed items to a whole new level of professionalism and is a crucial step to making sure they look their best!
In this class, Alison will demonstrate several basic blocking techniques, how to use blocking tools, and blocking of several different fibers and textures. Don't miss this fundamental blocking demo to answer all your blocking questions!
Materials: Notepad and writing utensil, or electronic device to take notes on.
Meeting Time: Saturday, March 12th from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
