Have you knit your first pair of socks? Need a little help taking your sock knitting to the next level? Take this class and learn how to knit socks to fit your feet!
We will knit these socks cuff down (on dpns or small 9" circulars) using sock weight yarn so this is a great next step if you have only knit worsted weight socks.
With a few measurements and some gauge requirements we will create a sock recipe that will fit your foot and give you the tools to create the perfect sock pattern for anyone you'd like to knit socks for in the future (if you know their foot size!).
Meetings: Tuesday February 25, March 10, 24 5:30-7pm
Materials: 100g of sock yarn, DPNs in size needed to get gauge (if you decide to use 9" circulars, you will also need DPNs in the same size needle), removable stitch marker
Homework: Do a swatch in the round to find the needle that creates a gauge close to 8 stitches per inch (or a fabric that you really like, recommended between 7-9 stitches per inch)
*note this class is for students who have knit at least one sock or pair of socks
