Join Robbie for a single-session class on double knitting. In this class, you will learn the technique of double knitting and how to read a chart. Double knitting describes a knitting technique in which you knit two separate pieces of fabric on only one needle. During this class, you'll knit a colorful, double-thick potholder with a snowflake motif.
Download the free potholder pattern from Ravelry at https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tphpe and bring it with you to class. You should also complete the 37-stitch cast on with both yarns held together prior to the class session.
100 yards each of two contrasting colors of worsted-weight wool yarn (the sample shown here uses Lamb's Pride); US size 6 straight or circular needles; a print out of page 2 of the pattern; colored pencils that are similar to the colors of your yarn or in two contrasting colors; tapestry needle; Post-it notes or a magnetic row marker, if you have one.
