Hank Hat Class – May 1, 2021 (10:30 am - noon)

The Hank Hat by Kate Burge and Rachel Price features a fun, fast smocking technique. Smocking in knitting is super textured and quick to learn. You'll learn how carefully knitting into rows below will create this special stitch pattern. Use a variegated yarn with a solid yarn for the accent for maximum color impact. This hat will give you a new textured stitch to explore and will result in a super fun hat that everyone will want to steal from you! 

Cost: $30; class supplies are 10% off; the cost of the pattern is NOT included in the class fee; however, students can purchase the pattern directly from Cowgirl Yarn.

Materials: US size 3 and US size 5, 16" circular needles; US size 5 DPNs; two sport-weight yarns in contrasting colors; one stitch marker; a purchased copy of the Hank Hat Pattern.

Meeting: Saturday, May 1, 2021: 10:30 am-noon

Notes:

• Prior to the class session, participants should cast on and knit the ribbed brim.
• Participants are required to wear masks or face coverings for the duration of the class.
