This class is the perfect opportunity for the experienced knitter to learn a new technique.  In this class, students will learn how to properly fit socks made in the toe up style. As this class is for the experienced knitter, there won't be any sock techniques taught.

The pattern recommended for this class is the Personal Footprints for Insouciant Knitter by Cat Bordhi (the book is out of print, but an e-book copy can be purchased on Ravelry on Cat Bordhi's Ravelry page, or you can Amazon for a used copy). During the class you will knit a "Discovery Sock" to determine your perfect fit.

Students will need to have experience knitting socks on double pointed needle, two circular needles, or one long circular needle. They should also be familiar with Judy's magic cast-on or another toe up cast on of the students choice.

Homework:  Review chapter 1 of the book and make a personal cardboard footprint as directed in chapter 1.

Investment: $150.

Materials:
1)  A copy of the book listed above
2)  A personal footprint from chapter 1 made out of stiff cardboard
3)  Approximately 50g of sock yarn that is enough to knit 1 sock (this can be from your stash).
