Cool mornings and warm afternoons have us asking, what do we wear? What do we stitch? The answer: a My Old Flame Shawl.
The Pattern
This shawl is both classy and cozy, perfect for fall days. Warm enough for cooler mornings, but not too heavy for warmer afternoons. We love the flame-inspired design- in fact, when Shannon from Cascade Yarn came for a yarn tasting with samples this summer, this shawl seemed to catch everyone's eye.
For the intermediate knitter, this one-skein pattern offers an engaging project for a first fall knit.

The Yarn

The My Old Flame Shawl uses Cascade's Heritage Yarn. This is a fingering/sock weight yarn made of 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon, offering the best of both worlds- buttery soft Merino and durable Nylon.
In this pattern, the beautiful stitch definition of Heritage Yarn really pops, while providing a silky smoothness that is both light and comfy.
While the Blood Orange color really shines, we are pretty sure any of the 28 colors we have in store would look beautiful, from bright, bold Fuchsia to calm Mossy Rock or Como Blue to elegant Charcoal or Limestone.
What do you think? What color would you pick for a My Old Flame Shawl?
Happy stitching!
