Spinning and Weaving

The Fernwood Studio, downstairs of the shop is where weavers and spinners come to work, learn, and find what they need. Whether you’re setting up your first rigid heddle loom or adding to a spinning practice you’ve had for years, we carry the supplies and can help you figure out what’s right for your setup.

Beginners are especially welcome here. Weaving and spinning look more complicated than they are, and the right guidance makes all the difference. Ask about our classes — we teach both skills from the ground up, with no assumed knowledge and no gatekeeping.
