Located in Dryden, Michigan, the Mitchell family raises their own Rambouillet sheep, spins the fiber at a local fourth-generation mill, and dyes every skein right back on the farm using only natural plant botanicals. Small carbon footprint, big heart, and yarn that's as honest as the land it comes from.

American Fiber DK is spun from 100% Rambouillet wool at just 18 microns — that's the kind of fine, bouncy, velvety softness that makes you want to cast on immediately. The woolen-spun strand has incredible bloom and delivers crisp stitch definition that makes cables and textured stitches truly shine.

The natural plant-dyed colorways are soft and earthy, the kind of palette that feels right at home in Wyoming and Michigan alike. And because this yarn is never superwashed, it's a true heirloom fiber — care for it with a gentle hand wash and it'll reward you for years.
