Mountain Down is unlike anything else in your project bag. This extraordinary sport weight yarn blends 75% Mountain Merino® wool with 25% hand-pulled American Bison fiber — yes, hand-pulled right off live bison from a Wyoming ranch. It doesn't get more western than that.

The result is a yarn with an incredibly soft, cloud-like feel that's warm without being heavy, and earthy without sacrificing elegance. The natural soft taupe colorway is as beautiful undyed as the Wyoming landscape that inspired it, and select artisan dyed colors bring a pop of the West's vivid sunsets and wildflower meadows.
