Designed by Evelyn A. Clark, the Peace Shawl is a triangular, garter stitch shawl that is knitted from the center back neck down. The side edges are bound with a simple lace edging, and the top is finished with an I-cord. The design symbolizes men and women joining hands outside of an evergreen forest on a starry night to celebrate the message of peace.
Blocked Size:
Approximately 40" deep at center back, 58" along each side, and 80" across top.
Yarn:
Approximately 1,200 yards (1,097m) of lace-weight yarn.
