Toika Temples are made of steel and have pins that extend on the underside to spread the fabric to the width of the warp in the reed. This allows the weft to be turned firmly at the selvedge without pulling in the warp threads and allows the reed to move through the warp threads without rubbing on them, causing less breakage. Toika Temples are easy to adjust and cover little of the cloth, resulting in fewer movements and more visibility.
