Knit up a classic cabled sweater for a little one in your life! This sweater is knit flat and seamed together. The pattern allows you to choose between a turtleneck and a folded sewn collar, giving a great option for kids who don't like the feel of turtlenecks!

Yarn:
Worsted weight (recommended to use wool or another fiber with good stitch definition)

Finished chest circumference (intended to be worn with 2-4" positive ease):

25.5 (27.25, 29.25, 32.75, 35.5)

Sized for 2 (4, 6, 8, 10) years

Yardage:

610 (685, 815, 995, 1155) yds worsted weight yarn

Gauge:

18 sts & 30 rows = 4" in moss stitch with Size A needles, after blocking

18-stitch panel from Chart B = 2.75" wide with Size A needles, after blocking

10-stitch motif from Chart A or C = 1.75" wide with Size A needles, after blocking 

Needles:

Size A (for main fabric): Straight needles or 32" circulars in size needed to obtain gauge (recommended size: 4.5mm/US 7)

Size B (for ribbing):  Straight needles or 32" circulars, and one 16" circular, one size smaller than Size A (recommended size: 4mm/US 6)
