In this workshop, you'll embark on a journey to create a pair of custom socks that will keep your tootsies warm all year long.
Whether you're a seasoned knitter or a curious beginner, you'll find a supportive and encouraging learning environment here at Cowgirl Yarn.
In This 3-Class Workshop, You'll Learn:
- Fundamental Techniques: Master the essential skills of casting on, knitting, purling, picking up a gusset, turning the heel, and finishing the toe.
- Sock Construction: Discover the secrets to knitting perfectly fitting socks using double-pointed knitting needles.
- Pattern Exploration: Explore a variety of sock patterns to suit your style.
Hand-knitted socks are one of life's most wonderful luxuries. By the end of this class, you'll have the expertise to knit socks for yourself, and loved ones, or even to sell!
Then, when you are ready, you can graduate to smaller sock-weight yarns and smaller needles, as well as more complicated designs.
Prerequisite:
This class is appropriate for knitters who will be using DPN's for the first time. Knitters who sign up for this class must know the basics of knitting: casting on, the knit stitch, and the purl stitch. If you have previously taken our Begin to Knit 101 & 102 classes, this class is perfect for you!

- 250 yards of worsted-weight yarn, We recommend Plymouth Encore Worsted or Berroco Vintage
- US size 6 DPNs,
- Beginner Socks pattern by Knitting Pure & Simple
