We noticed that some knitters were knitting the cowl from our Churchmouse Classics Easy Folded Poncho separately and that gave us an idea. Why not double the cowl's circumference for an infinity loop that you can wear long and elegant, or twist double for twice the cozy? We added purl welts for a sculptural effect. And, while we were at it, we two-toned it for clever reversibility!
Cowl: Approx. 24"/61cm around x 11"/28cm deep, with welts flattened.
Infinity Loop: Approx. 48"/122cm around by 11"/28cm deep, with welts flattened.
Cowl: Approx. 220 yds/200m of DK- or sport-weight alpaca or alpaca-blend yarn.
Infinity Loop: Approx. 440 yds/400m of DK- or sport-weight alpaca or alpaca-blend yarn; two color version requires approx. 280 yds/265m of one color and 150 yds/146m of the other.
