If you're comfortable on your 4-shaft loom and are ready to add some new techniques into your repertoire, this is your chance! Dorothy, our wonderful weaving teacher, will guide you through weaving from a draft, lace tie-ups, overshot-type treadling, and more. With her guidance, you'll create four unique placemats, each exploring a new weaving skill that you can apply to scarves, pillowcases, and anything else you can dream up!

What You'll Learn:
- Warping Refresher: Reinforce your warping skills and learn how to set your self up for success on different weaving patterns.
- Working From a Draft: Thread and treadle according to a draft, a skill which will open up a world of weaving possibilities.
- Unique Treadlings and Tie-Ups: Explore four new treadlings and tie-ups, including dual weft overshot-style treadlings and lace tie-ups.

Dates: Saturday, February 21st, and Sunday, February 22nd
Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Saturday) & 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Sunday)

Location: Fernwood Studio in the basement of Cowgirl Yarn
Parking: Participants can park for free in the First Interstate Bank parking lot down the street from Cowgirl Yarn during non-banking hours.
Max # of Students: 4
Required Materials:
- 4-shaft loom with 15" weaving width
- 8 dent reed
- 2 boat shuttles
- 2 bobbins (preferred) or 2 stick shuttles
- 9oz of 3/2 cotton for your warp
- 2oz of 3/2 cotton for your weft on each of your 4 placemats (8oz total)
- 1oz of 10/2 cotton in color to match your warp
Experience Level:
This is not a beginner course. Students in this class should be comfortable warping and weaving on their own. If you're unsure if this class is right for you, please give us a call- we'll be happy to help you out!
Homework:
Please come to the first class with your yarn already purchased!

Lunch is not provided. However, there are many wonderful dining options within walking distance. We also have a refrigerator, microwave, and stove if you prefer to bring your own lunch.
On Saturday night, you'll be able to take a loom with you to continue working. If you need more time to complete your project after Sunday's class, the store will remain open later, as needed.
