Discover the Magic of Nuno Felting!

The felting process is transformative, turning delicate wool into a firm and cohesive fabric. Students will learn how to make a dimensional felted object while experimenting with color and texture.

This wet-felting workshop will introduce students to the concept of felting dimensional objects through an enchanting project: creating fanciful 3-D fish that will make any space more whimsical.

One of the joys of wet-felting is the ability to personalize your creations. We will incorporate color and surface design elements using a variety of materials, so each project becomes an individual statement. Students should have some experience with laying out fiber and wet felting.

Join us for this immersive journey into the art of wet-felting, and let's create something extraordinary together. Your fanciful 3-D fish awaits!

What You'll Learn:

  • The Fundamentals: Explore core felting techniques, including wet felting, needle felting, and surface design.
  • How to Add Depth and Dimension: Learn to incorporate texture and embellishments to create unique and expressive pieces.
  • How to Create Your Own Masterpiece: Design and create your own unique nuno felted fish to take home and cherish.
  • Felting Confidence: Develop the skills and confidence to explore further felting techniques and create a variety of projects.

The class has been developed to allow for as much individuality as possible so you'll be able to focus on your chosen techniques and let your creativity run wild. With step-by-step instructional handouts, you'll can take your learning beyond the classroom to create more felted projects on your own at home.

Beginners and more experienced felters are both welcome.

Investment: $130 + materials fee of $10, paid to instructor on the day of the workshop

- Something for lunch
- 2 old bath towels
- Comfortable shoes
- A waterproof apron (optional)
