Learn to style your shawls and show them off!
Do you have a shawl that’s just an enigma? Does the shape make it hard to “just wear it?” Is your traditional shawl so traditional that you wish you could be transported to 18th-century Scotland… but it doesn’t give you the confidence you’d need to find adventure and romance with the ruggedly handsome Highland warrior, Jamie Fraser?
Join Donnie for an interactive and confidence boosting shawl styling workshop. He’ll help you explore some out-of-the-box ideas for your traditional shawls. Everyone in the workshop will be excited to see what you bring and we will all figure out some ways to wear these amazing handmade shawls.
We will dedicate time at the end of the workshop to explore styling your shawls or other handmade items as a group.
Class Details:
Instructor: Donnie Herrington
Dates: Saturday, October 3rd, 2026
Time: 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Investment: $15
Location: Fernwood Studio in the basement of Cowgirl Yarn or outside on the patio if weather is awesome.
Parking: Participants can park for free in the First Interstate Bank parking lot down the street from Cowgirl Yarn during non-banking hours.
Max # of Students: The more the merrier!
Prerequisites:
No skills needed. Just have an open mind to thinking outside the box.
Please Bring to Class:
Bring your shawls. Any shawl.
The unusual shapes, the traditional, the one with eclectic colors and beads. Even that shawl you don’t find hard to wear… bring that one and show it off. We want to see how you wear it.
But most of all, bring your inner diva. They won’t want to miss this.

6 students are needed for the class and it may be canceled if there are not enough students.
