Product Description

Learn to make the most of the vast capabilities of the free version of knitCompanion!

In this class, you will learn to:

Navigate the knitCompanion application
Identify key screens within the app
Link to your Ravelry account and learn to use the cloud-based storage solutions built into the app
Download a pattern PDF and learn to keep your place within the pattern
Learn to keep project notes that stay with your pattern

We will also touch on some key features of the subscription based (paid) version of the app, giving you a chance to explore the app and have time for questions at the end.

Instructor: Donnie Herrington
Dates: Saturday, October 3rd, 2026
Time: 10:30am - 12:30pm
Investment: $45
Location: Fernwood Studio in the basement of Cowgirl Yarn or outside on the patio if weather is awesome.
Parking: Participants can park for free in the First Interstate Bank parking lot down the street from Cowgirl Yarn during non-banking hours.
Skill Level: Beginner

Minimum Age: 12
Max # of Students: 12

Prerequisites:

Students should have knowledge of how to basically operate the device of choice for the knitCompanion app.

Please Bring to Class:

iOS tablet (ipad), Android tablet, or Apple laptop with the kCBasic (free) version of knitCompanion application downloaded/installed
Pen and notebook or paper for taking notes.

Please be aware, while knitCompanion WILL work on a smart phone, the screen size is very small and can be difficult to navigate.

Homework:

Have a minimum of knitCompanion Basics (kCBasics) loaded on the device of choice to use for the class.

Final Important Notes:

Please be sure to provide a phone number and email when checking out so we can contact you if needed, should a last-minute issue arise.

4 students are needed for the class and it may be canceled if there are not enough students.
