Patty Lyons Knitting Bag of Tricks Class
Patty Lyons' Knitting Bag of Tricks has taken the knitting world by storm. Guided by her book, this class will delve into the ‘why” behind knitting techniques.
This workshop is a hands-on, technique-focused class designed for knitters of all skill levels, from beginners looking to establish good habits to experienced knitters who want to polish their work.
The class is structured as a series of 8 lessons. Each lesson will have a homework component as well as exercises. Using the companion workbook you will create swatches that illustrate the techniques discussed. You'll gain practical experience by knitting along with the instructor, with plenty of opportunities for discussion and Q&A.

* Understanding Your Stitches: Learn how knit and purl stitches are constructed and
how to read your knitting to easily spot and fix mistakes.
* Gauge and Swatching: Demystify the crucial topic of gauge, learning how to make your swatch work for you and achieve the correct size for your projects.
* Troubleshooting Common Problems: Get solutions for pesky issues like uneven edges, sloppy increases and decreases, and the perfect buttonholes.
* Improving Finishing Techniques: Master finishing skills like seaming and blocking to give your projects a professional, polished look.

Materials:
- Patty Lyons Knitting Bag of Tricks and Workbook
- Worsted Weight yarn from your stash
- Size 8 (5 mm) straight or circular needles
- Pen or pencil for taking notes.
Homework:
There will be no homework before the first class. However there will be homework after the first two:
Class 1—Tubular cast on and join a new color. Homework: Knit two inches in main color.
Class 2—Begin stranded color work using both hands.
