Join us and learn creative wool embroidery to make your knitwear even more unique!
This creative embroidery class by Joanna Johnson welcomes makers of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to experienced stitchers looking to expand their craft. Throughout the course, you will dive into a rich variety of technical embroidery stitches while mastering the fundamental principles of stitch design and material selection. You will also learn how to confidently transfer your own original artwork onto diverse textile surfaces, including handwoven and handknit fabrics, along with exploring how to integrate unique, handspun yarns into your wooly doodle embroidery projects to add beautiful depth, color, and texture to your creations.
We will be learning the basics of several embroidery stitch structures that work well to embellish store bought or hand knit items. 5-6 of the most commonly used embroidery stitch techniques will be utilized to create embellishments or repairs for your knitted garments.

What to Bring:
- Students will need to bring a sweater or knitted item to embroider
- Students will need to bring sewing needles (can be purchased from the class instructor)

Wool crewel yarn for embroidery and small hoops will be provided
