Tronstad Ranch Rambouillet/Border Leicester Worsted Yarn - Hand Dyed in Wyoming
Product Description
A Wyoming treasure. Raised here. Milled here. Dyed here. Only at Cowgirl Yarn.
This is not your average skein of yarn, this is a piece of Wyoming in your hands. The Tronstad family has been raising their Rambouillet/Border Leicester cross sheep on their small family ranch outside Laramie, tending their flock with the kind of care that shows up in every single skein. From shearing to picking to carding to dyeing, they oversee it all.
The fiber is milled right here in Wyoming, keeping every step of this yarn's journey on Wyoming soil. From there, it travels back to Laramie, where Lusha Tronstad hand-paints each skein in small batches, creating colorways as vivid and alive as a Wyoming sunset.
Every skein is one of a kind. That's not marketing speak — it's just the nature of hand-dyed yarn made by one woman, on one ranch, in one remarkable state.
Need a custom colorway or a larger quantity? Lusha dyes in batches based on your project needs. Just reach out and she'll work with you — allow 3–8 weeks depending on her schedule. It's worth the wait.
This yarn is exclusively available at Cowgirl Yarn. You won't find it anywhere else.
